Plan of Salvation

God is Holy.

God has never sinned and will never sin. Twice in the Bible (Isaiah 6:3 and

Revelation 4:8) God is described as “Holy, holy, holy.” Because God is completely holy

(sinless) he cannot allow any sin into his presence. (Habakkuk 1:13) So God’s standard

for entrance into heaven is perfection.

We are not Holy.

Romans 3:23 says that “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” No

one can meet God’s standard for entrance into heaven. While God is totally righteous,

we are unrighteous. Romans 3:10 tells us that “There is none righteous, no, not one:”

That means through our own efforts no one can go to heaven. The only thing that we

have coming is separation from God for all eternity. (Romans 6:23) Something must be

done to cleanse us from the sin that blocks our entrance into heaven.

Christ who is Holy died for Us.

That work was done by Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that Jesus is God and as

God he is perfect and sinless and holy. The amazing truth is that though he was

sinless, Jesus died to pay for our sin. (Romans 5:8, Isaiah 53:6) The price for sin, death,

has already been paid for every person who is ever born.

Whole hearted faith in Christ will bring forgiveness of sin and heaven.

Even though the price has been paid for sin, it doesn’t mean that everyone is going

to heaven. The gift of salvation must be received by faith. A person must admit their

sinfulness and that they deserve to go to hell and turn and place their faith in what

Christ did for them on the cross. John 1:12 says “But as many as received him, to them

gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

Here is the amazing truth. When we change our mind about God’s holiness and our

sinfulness and place our faith in Christ we are made righteous through the blood of

Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that

we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

WILL YOU ADMIT YOUR SINFULNESS AND PLACE YOUR FAITH IN THE

FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST ON THE CROSS? IF YOU DO, HE WILL SAVE YOU!!
